Anders Henten Anders Henten is Associate Professor at the Center for Information and Communication technologies (CICT) at the Technical University of Denmark. He is a graduate in communications and international development studies from Roskilde University in Denmark and holds a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark. His main areas of research are regulation of telecommunications, information and communication technology innovation, service innovation and internationalisation, socio-economic implications of information and communication technologies including e-commerce and business models. He has been teaching courses in 'telecommunication markets', 'regulation of telecommunication', 'e-commerce - markets and business models', and 'standardisation in telecommunication' at the Technical University of Denmark, the IT University in Copenhagen, international courses for telecommunication regulators and operators, and courses for the National Telecom Agency in Denmark. Anders Henten has worked professionally in the areas of communications economy and policy for approximately 20 years. He has participated in numerous research projects financed by various governments, organizations and institutions including the European Community, the Nordic Council of Ministers, Danish Research Councils and Ministries and, in consultancies, by the World Bank, UNCTAD, ITU, and Danish Ministries, among others. He has published nationally and internationally in journals, books, anthologies, and numerous conference proceedings. He holds academic positions as editor of the new Nordic and Baltic Journal of ICT, member of the board of the European research co-operation network ENCIP, member of the LIRNE coordinating committee, advisory board member of the international journal Telematics and Informatics, member of the editorial board of the South African Journal of Information and Communication, member of the International Association of Media and Communication Researchers (IAMCR), and member of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA).
