Patricia H. Longstaff
Patricia Longstaff is a policy analyst and educator specializing in issues surrounding the communications sector. Her assignments at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications (Television Radio & Film Department) include the media business and communications law/policy. She is a Research Affiliate at Harvard University's Program for Information Policy Research (PIRP). Her most recent work concerns managing and regulating organizations in complex, unpredictable environments. Her most recent book, The Communications Toolkit: How To Build or Regulate Any Communications Business, was published by MIT Press in the Spring of 2002. This book integrates ideas from her interdisciplinary search for clues for answers to the problems confronting communications businesses and their regulators. She is a member of the U.S. State Department's Advisory Committee on International Communications Policy.
